PEO Advocacy Day
Tuesday, May 9, 2017
Sponsored by Slavic401k
In an effort to “play offense” and capitalize on the opportunity to promote the industry’s regulatory and legislative priorities with Congress and the new administration, this year’s PEO Advocacy Day will feature meetings with both elected officials and political appointees in the Trump administration. The day is tentatively scheduled to begin at the U.S. Department of Labor, and will then move to Capitol Hill for an exclusive lunch in the Capitol complex, complete with a federal legislative update and presentations from key members of Congress. Both before and after lunch, you’ll have the opportunity to visit with your state’s two senators. This is your opportunity to push for federal legislative and regulatory priorities that will promote the growth of the PEO industry and recognize the many benefits PEOs provide to their small business clients. NAPEO will make the appointment, provide talking points, and offer tips for your visit.
Congressional appointments cannot be guaranteed, and are subject to availability and to cancellation and rescheduling with little or no notice. Appointment confirmations will either be emailed to all participants prior to the scheduled visit or provided at registration.
CEO Forum: Dinner with Washington Insider Rich Galen
Monday, May 8, 2017, 6:00pm – 10:00pm
Sponsored by Clay Kelley, McHenry Consulting, PrismHR, Slavic401k
The evening begins with a rooftop reception at the offices of Davis & Harman featuring breathtaking views of the White House and monuments, and ends with dinner and a fascinating conversation with noted Washington insider Rich Galen. Rich Galen has been described as “what you get when you cross a political hack with a philosopher.” His career includes work in and out of politics, as well as in and out of the United States. He was press secretary to Dan Quayle, when the former Vice President was a Congressman and a U.S. Senator; and to Newt Gingrich when Gingrich was House Republican Whip and, in 1996 became the communications director of the political office of Speaker Gingrich. Rich Galen also has extensive non-US experience. At the time of the dissolution of the Communist governments in Eastern Europe, he was one of a select number of Americans sent over to help build a democratic political infrastructure.
Event includes transportation, dinner, presentation and great views of our nation’s capital.
Separate registration required. NAPEO's CEO Forum is open to NAPEO PEO member company CEOs and other C-level executives within these member PEO companies.
