ALEXANDRIA, Va., January 12, 2024 -- The National Association of Professional Employer Organizations (NAPEO) commended the House for passing a resolution Friday to nullify the National Labor Relations Board's (NLRB) final rule on joint employment.
“We applaud the House for recognizing the dangers of this heavy-handed regulation that is bad for small businesses and their employees,” said NAPEO President and CEO Casey Clark. “We urge the Senate to swiftly pass its companion bill to correct the NLRB’s overstep as soon as possible.”
NAPEO is a member of the Coalition to Save Local Businesses, a coalition of hundreds of small businesses, trade associations, independent operators and franchisees that has warned the final rule would overturn decades of precedent and would impose an unworkable standard for determining a joint employer.
