The National
Association of Professional Employer Organizations (NAPEO) commended the Senate
for passing a resolution Wednesday to
nullify the National Labor Relations Board's (NLRB) final rule on joint
employment.
“We applaud
the Senate for joining the House in recognizing the dangers of the NLRB’s
heavy-handed joint employer regulation,"' said NAPEO President and CEO
Casey Clark. “We urge President Biden to protect small businesses by signing
this legislation and correcting the NLRB’s overstep as soon as possible.”
NAPEO is a
member of the Coalition to Save Local Businesses, an alliance
of hundreds of small businesses, trade associations, independent operators and
franchisees that has warned the final rule would overturn decades of precedent
and would impose an unworkable standard for determining a joint employer.
